Richard J. Arsenault is listed in The Best Lawyers in America publication, has an A-V Martindale-Hubbell rating, is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and serves on the LSU Law School’s Trial Advocacy Faculty. He has been recognized by The National Law Journal as having one of the nation’s largest personal injury verdicts. He has also served as a mediator in complex environmental litigation and been retained as an expert witness regarding class actions and related attorneys’ fees.
Arsenault has been appointed to numerous editorial boards and has made presentations throughout the U.S. and Canada on a variety of admiralty, mass tort, class action, and complex litigation related topics (over 250 articles and presentations). Arsenault has served as President of the Alexandria Bar Association, President of the Alexandria American Inns of Court and Chairman of the Louisiana Bar Association’s Section on Insurance, Negligence, Workers’ Compensation and Admiralty Law. He has chaired the Louisiana Bar Association’s Annual Class Action/Mass Tort Symposium since its inception.
Arsenault has been invited to speak at a variety of continuing legal education symposiums including those sponsored by Tulane Law School, LSU Law School, the Louisiana Judicial College, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Judicial Conference. Arsenault is licensed in Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, and Washington, D.C.
