Newspapers are reporting that as many as 30 people have become infected with Hepatitis A after eating at a Milan, IL McDonalds. It has been reported that a restaurant worker infected with the virus continued to prepare food for nearly a month before the restaurant was shut down and sanitized. As many as 10,000 people may have been exposed to the virus during that time.

Last week we reported about 19 confirmed Hepatitis A cases that were possibly linked to an Illinois McDonalds. An outbreak of Hepatitis A has parts of Illinois on high alert. So far, health officials have confirmed 19 cases of Hepatitis A in Rock Island, Henry, Mercer, Warren and Woodford Counties. Rock Island has been the hardest hit, with 13 of the confirmed Hepatitis A cases.
